About

The Certificate in Islamic Banking and Finance for Legal Practitioners (CIBFL) is a programme designed by professionals for professionals. It is a programme first of its kind developed to build the competency of lawyers in dealing with the Islamic Banking legal documentations more effectively. This is believed to impact the industry greatly as it improves trust among customers and reduces exposure to risks i.e. Litigation risk for the industry players.

Programme Structure

A flexible learning system where the modules are mostly offered via e-learning as well as online tutorial interactions. Each module has a 7-hour slot either on online and/or e-Learning mode with Pre-test and Post-test. The first 4 modules are e-learning with 1 tutorial session for each (4 hours of self-learning & 3 hours of the tutorial). Module 5 & 6- 7 hours face-to-face online classes.

Continuous Assessment: 60%

Final Examination: 40%

Entry Requirement

A Degree in Law, practicing lawyers under the Malaysian Bar or in-house legal practitioners.
