Among the visitors that visited the IIUM Holdings’ booth

Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) is an annual expo that aims to showcase local and international halal products. The MIHAS 2024 garnered massive sales of RM4.3 billion, as opposed to RM3.2 billion in 2023. With over 43,000 trade visitors this year, it reflected that the halal industry is booming locally and globally.

This year, ICI grabbed the opportunity to participate as an exhibitor in MIHAS alongside IIUM Holdings’ subsidiaries. Under the same umbrella, we showcased IIUM Holdings’ products and services, which vary from education to professional hospitality. ICI took a more proactive initiative to promote holistic and comprehensive halal training such as the Certified Halal Executive Training. We believe there is a need for halal awareness and treat it as a responsibility to the ummah. The exhibitors were a mix of Muslim and non-muslim companies that attained halal certification for their businesses.

The expo featured 2,028 booths from 66 countries, showcasing products under the theme “Globalising Halal Innovations”. Among the top exhibitors were Mamee and Nestle’, and from the banking industry such as CIMB and Maybank. ICI hope that we can participate again in MIHAS 2025, showcasing better services and products.
