September was a hectic month for ICI! We rollercoaster-ed the month with the exhibition, in-house and public training workshops. ICI kickstarted the month by empowering leaders with Leadership and Communication Skills Training from 2 – 3 of September. This training was led by Prof. Dr. Maniam, a prominent and well-known lecturer and trainer from Nottingham University Malaysia. Seems familiar? That’s right! He was the top gun who trained the IIUM Holdings subsidiaries for the Training Needs Analysis Training in 2023. For business expansion, ICI introduced healthcare and workplace ergonomic practices and workshops. We completed our very first, Basic First Aid training on the 12th of September.
Participating in the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS)
Thought we would pull the handbrake during the Hari Malaysia public holiday? We wouldn’t and we didn’t! All IIUM Holdings’ subsidiaries – marketing team especially – drenched in sweat to prepare our 4-day booth for the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) Kuala Lumpur from the 17th to 20th of September. It was a great experience and good initiative for networking and to promote our services to industry players.

ICI Halal Initiatives and Legal Awareness Workshop
As for ICI Halal Initiatives, we managed to conduct three training sessions which were the in-house Halal Internal Auditor Training Basic Level for a renowned private hospital, and Halal Competency Training and the Halal Internal Auditor Training Advanced for the public participants with over 100 participants in total – thumbs up to the training team and INHART! Lastly, ICI collaborated with IIUM Holdings to conduct the Legal Awareness Workshop at the Research Management Centre, led by Datuk Dr Tengku Naufal. It was a great workshop and exposure for leaders to manage legal-related documents and issues. In future, we believe with more direct involvement from IIUM Holdings and collaboration from other subsidiaries, together we will empower our big family!
